Code of Ethics Statement
Throughout Elevate’s interactions with clients, Elevate is committed to work that is informed by—but exceeds—the intentions of The Code of Ethics for the Health Education Profession, including the following provisions:
Health Specialists, Practitioners, and Educators display personal behaviors that represent the ethical conduct principles of honesty, autonomy, beneficence, respect, and justice. We uphold that under no circumstances should a Health Specialist, Practitioner, or Educator engage in derogatory language, violence, bigotry, racism, harassment, inappropriate sexual activities or communications in person or using technology and other means.
Health Specialists, Practitioners, and Educators respect and support the rights of individuals and communities to make informed decisions about their health, if such decisions pose no risk to the health of others.
Health Specialists, Practitioners, and Educators are ethically bound to respect the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of individuals and organizations. They respect the rights of others to hold diverse values, attitudes, and opinions. Health Specialists, Practitioners, and Educators have a responsibility to engage in supportive relationships that are free of exploitation in all professional settings (e.g.: with clients, patients, community members, students, supervisees, employees, and research participants).
